William Gottenstrater

Facility and Maintenance Director

William Gottenstrater is the Director of Facilities & Maintenance for Altamus Property Management. With over twenty-five years of building and inspection experience, and serving in a diverse array of roles in the construction field, his ability to analyze properties from many different perspectives is exceptional.

While serving in a management role of a large agricultural enterprise, William graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in English Literature. This agricultural background instilled an
appreciation for competence and integrity and is where a solid foundation of these virtues was built. His education reinforces these qualities with capable communication skills and valuable insight. These assets shown in each of his early endeavors, from home inspections to general contracting, and real estate investing to project management.

William has a profound interest in architecture and is a strong proponent of preserving buildings and details which reflect the ingenuity of forward-thinking development and craftsmanship of highly skilled tradespeople. Alternatively, he enjoys exploring the evolving science of modern building construction and witnessing the creation of efficient design. With a deep personal connection to Western North Carolina and the properties we manage, William values the principles guiding the conscientious development of our beautiful mountain communities.
